Since the early 1990s, the topographical surveys have enabled the research team led by French underwater archaeologist Franck Goddio to conquer Alexandria's seaport. "This place is a unique site in the world," said Goddio who has spent two decades searching for the lost city. This photograph is in the exploration that took team to the palace and temple complex. This is a fundamental and essential part of the palace compound. The goddess Isis was exceptional to Cleopatra. Isis was the goddess of power and magic. - Cleopatra's Eye
Cleopatra is reputed to have been schooled in the mysteries of Osiris and Isis, and the priests of these gods were quite powerful. Isis and Osiris were thought to have means of magic, telepathy and clairvoyance, which legend says were taught to the young princess.
It's in this temple, in a small room known as "The Sphere of Destiny," that Cleopatra was supposed to have kept a sizable quartz block. It had a smooth polished surface concerning the size of two hands on among the upper faces of the stone.
It was by scrying into that dark mirror that Cleopatra was designed to be able to see future and the past, talk to her generals and she was to see the faces of Mark Antony and Julius Caesar, even it was said.
This rock of power was called the "Eye of Cleopatra," or "Cleopatra's Eye" and was rumored to be as old as Egypt itself. After the departure of Antony and Cleopatra, the stone vanished never to be seen again. Could it be entombed somewhere here beneath the bay?
It was in the Temple of Isis where Cleopatra's love affair with all the Roman general Antony took place--his rooms were there. The pair allegedly committed suicide in the Civil War, after the defeat of his former allies Octavian. Octavian then appeared with the name.
Teams of divers locate a central location in the life of Cleopatra and Antony, the sensational pair whose love was so famed, including the Timonium where Antony pulled away in the outside world after the defeat. The building has not yet been finished because Antony committed suicide.
They also located a large head-shaped rock monument, which is strongly suspected as that son of Cleopatra and her lover before Antony, Julius Caesar. Much is made of the last days of Cleopatra's rule, but in reality, the complex is disclosing of her whole reign and her industrious and fantastic military, architectural and artistic knowledge. Cleopatra's brain and wit were more very important to her success than her attractiveness. She appeared to have knowledge and resources manner beyond that of those she coped with, and the scribes attributed this to her profound Egyptian magic. - Cleopatra's Eye
